A lady and a G!

Yes, I know the title sounds cheesy but it best describes this outfit. The bottom half is lady-like and the top is very gangster (g'd-up)! Anyway, I love the print of this skirt and this was one of the skirts I got from Gikomba for KShs. 100 together with this skirt.
So excited that its one more day to the weekend! Happy Thursday guys and thanks for passing by!

Mango-Pawpaw Smoothie!

Hey guys, this is just a quick post about one of my absolutely favourite smoothies that I make when I get home. Sometimes this smoothie gets me so full that I barely have dinner (not that I am recommending anyone not to have dinner).
Anyway, I just blend pawpaws and mangoes, which by the way, are in season. I mean the nice juicy mangoes that do not have fibre and are yellow-red on the inside.. yummers! So I blend it with milk and some yoghurt just to give it that nice thickness... Oh so good! And I do make enough for hubby and I to have it at dinner time but also for breakfast. Lovely Thursday guys!

Ochre!

Hey guys! I hope you are all great. This was the outfit I wore yesterday. I sometimes choose outfits that balance.... Like yesterday for instance, I wore this fitted jeans and the perfect balance was a baggy top. This concept changes, obviously and I can choose to wear all fitted or all baggy. I guess sometimes it just goes with my mood. All in all I loved the orange ochre colour on the charcoal grey skinnies. Have a great Thursday and thanks for passing by.

Happy 2014!

Happy New Year guys!! First of all, I want to thank you all for supporting me through 2013 and the years prior. Last year, I almost shut down the blog but the tremendous support is what kept me going. So thank you my dear readers.
So 2014 is here. There are so many things I am planning for the blog but let me not get ahead of myself. Everything will happen at its own time.

So let me tell you about this skirt that I am absolutely in love with. I went to Gikomba last week with my cousin and we bumped into a lady selling skirts. This was the first one that caught my eye. I love stripes and this one was extra special because of the three different stripes on the skirt. I got it for KShs. 100... steal!!!!! Anyway have a blessed week ahead!

DIY Earring Storage!

Hey guys, so yes I am back. Once again, sorry for the absence. We close office on Friday and I simply cannot wait to go on holiday mode! Anyway, I have been wanting to put up this post for a while. This DIY was actually an idea given to me by my lovely friend Peps when I first posted on how I store my earrings.

Its actually quite simple. All you need is:

1. An old, good quality scarf
2. Plastic hooks (available from any supermarket)
3. Super glue (to reinforce the hooks as its glue isn't strong enough)

I used three hooks and have had my earrings hanged there for over a year now.. It is s simple DIY but gives your earrings good storage and easy access!!!

Happy mid-week and thanks for passing by!

Casual Hooded Poncho!

Hey guys, how has your week been so far? I have been quite busy as usual but I do try to squeeze time to take a few outfit pics. This was my outfit yesterday. I had lots of errands to do, mostly school related. Interestingly, I had not planned to take pictures in the midst of my frantic errands, but decided to go ahead and take pics of my casual outfit.
I love this poncho to bits! Well maybe it had something to do with the fact that I bought it for KShs. 20.... what a steal! It has that festive spirit vibe and an amazing print. I also love the hoody, the black trim on the edges and most of all its bagginess which means great comfort!
Thanks for reading and do have a blessed Thursday!
