Statement Jumper!

Hey guys, first of all, I want to thank you all for the feedback following the last post on my new collaboration with PikchaGUY. So lets talk about this outfit. I am one of those people who always thinks of comfort first but still appreciates the sophistication of simplicity. I am totally in love with this jumper especially when they suddenly became a trend last year. See here.

When WoolWorths had a KShs. 500 sale last year, this was the first item I grabbed. (Yes, it was a real-grabbing affair lol!). I love the print, the mixture of colours and its versatility.

Sunday Zest!

 Hey guys! Hope you are well. Sorry for being MIA but been super duper busy with work, thesis and life in general. So I am so, so, so, so excited to officially be working with a very good friend from back in the day..... (drum roll please......) PikchaGUY! Like you have no idea how excited I am write now typing and dying to upload the pics!!!! This guy is so talented and I love the fact that he turned his photography hobby into a passion. He is so talented right?!!!!! He didn't go to any photography school but just learnt from experience and well ... google  :-) that's just amazing! You can stay updated on his work here.

Anyway, I got this dress from Gikomba a while back but love the print and the length. Its simple yet beautiful and I love the fact that I can play around with colour while picking my accessorise!

 Various Ways to Style It: With a sweater, blazer, flats, with a skirt (layer a skirt on top and rock the dress as a top).......

Roasted Potatoes with Bacon!

 Hey guys, hope you had an excellent weekend. Sorry I have been MIA, but those who are friends with me on FB know I was battling a serious flu. I even finished a whole dosage of medication and my Doc. had to give me a different second dose because the flu wasn't giving up the fight! All the fresh juice and liquids I was consuming helped and I am finally back on my feet! 

So yesterday, I decided I wanted to cook potatoes and bacon for a late lunch with hubby. I didn't particularly want to make a whole meal, but something easy and delicious. So I decided to make potatoes and bacon. To be honest, I decided to just wing it (the recipe that is). I am a BIG fan of the Food Network and sometimes the chef in me just gets overly excited and just decide to whip things I think will taste good.

  So I just boiled some potatoes then threw them on the grill together with 5 cloves of garlic (chopped), freshly ground pepper, 1 sliced green pepper and 1 sliced red pepper. I pan-fried the bacon then added it to the potatoes. It is important to drizzle the oil used to fry the bacon as it will add more flavour to the potatoes. To serve, I just grated some cheddar cheese and voila! Hubby absolutely loved it but requested me to try add onions next time.... yummers!
